About CoolJet Systems
CoolJet Systems was created in 1991 as an offshoot of MKT Innovations. In early 1990, MKT Innovations specialized in the manufacture of highly specified valve bodies for the Semiconductor industry. As a way of satisfying the ever increasing demands of their customers, MKT investigated the use of High Pressure Coolant (HPC). Starting at 100psi, MKT worked on improving the HPC process until 1000psi was achieved. This resulted in a coolant velocity that cleared the chips from the cutting area fast enough to allow substantially faster feeds and speeds, improved tool life and vastly improved part finishes. The highly skilled workforce at MKT use a compliment of 25 CNC machine tools that are all equipped with HPC systems. This "hands on" experience is fundamental in designing systems that are workshop friendly and robust enough to cope with the rigors of shop floor use.
